“Working with Michelle to design my wedding band was a wonderful experience. When I first met with her, I explained that I was looking for a larger designer diamond band that would hold its own, but I also wanted the option of wearing a smaller band with my engagement ring. I loved the sophisticated look of white gold and yellow gold together, but didn’t see how I could achieve all these things.
Michelle worked with me to design a spectacular art deco inspired ring in yellow gold that is stunning and timeless She also came up with the idea of surrounding the band with two delicate diamond eternity rings in white gold. “My husband and I were both so sad when my original rings literally starting falling apart and I lost some diamonds. Some friends and I were chatting about my rings at one of Michelle’s jewelry shows and I started to cry out of embarrassment that I did not wear both of them anymore out of fear that I would lose more diamonds. The original designer was a family friend and we did not want to go back to her to fix it.
We asked Michelle to redesign my engagement ring and wedding band for our five-year anniversary. Michelle wanted to make sure I loved the design and was patient with my indecisiveness! She continuously emailed my husband and me throughout the design and production process. We looked through her portfolios and samples and she gathered what I liked from many images and was able to bring it all together! She listened to what we wanted and still used all the original diamonds from the first two rings and added more to make it the two stunning rings that I now wear daily with pride.
When I was surprised with the set, I cried happy tears on how beautiful they are and that they are mine! I know Michelle’s designs are gorgeous and I was lucky to work with her in the design but I was blown away on the final product. I am often stopped by people who comment on how beautiful my rings are, and I proudly say Michelle Midyette is the designer.
The experience was an amazing gift from my husband but it was a gift to him, too. He now is proud of the rings and loves to hear all the compliments.
